Built of stone near the peak of a rocky hill typical of Mykonos Villa Anemoi becomes one with the landscape. The eye of the passerby will have a hard time distinguishing it, perched high up between the vivid outlines of the imposing cliffs. Τhe visitor though will easily distinguish Villa Anemoi when comparing its rare location, its astonishing view, the luxury and the villa’s unique style of its decoration, considering it to be as one of the best villas of Mykonos.
Mykonos is unlike any other island in the world. Villa Anemoi is one of the most impressive villas on the island.
Villa Anemoi is situated in one of the most beautiful and sought-after sites on the island, on its leeward south side, at Lia. The endless view of the sea extends from Kalo Livadi and Aghia Anna to the twin peaks of Kalafati. It is just 3-6 minutes away from these four beaches, perhaps the most beautiful on the island. There water sports enthusiasts will find everything their hearts desire for aficionados both young and old. Lovers of fine cuisine will feast in some of the islands most famous restaurants and tavemas. And music and dance fans will find some of the hottest beach bars on the island. And on the practical side, the picturesque village Ano Mera has everything one could possibly need and is only 5 minutes away by car.
The style and atmosphere of Villa Anenoi is truly unique. Both in terms of architecture and decoration. Situated between the enormous cliffs, extending over an area of 3.4 acre, it follows the color and relief of the terrain, rising amphitheatrically on three levels. On each of these, romantic leeward‚ “kavantzes” (Mykonian shady, protected outdoor places where one can sit and enjoy the weather and the landscape) alternate with ledges planted with all kinds of plants and flowers indigenous to the area of the Aegean Sea.
Entering Villa Anemoi through the main gate there are two parking spaces. Going down a few steps the visitor proceeds through the stone entrance of the villa and descends to the first level where the two-story residence is located. Entry is through a large entrance hall where the dining room is located. To the right there is a spacious living room with a fireplace which leads to a large verandah with outdoor seating offering breathtaking views. To the left of the reception area lies the kitchen literally carved in the rock and bathed in the light from the skylight on the roof of its cavern, six meters high. Next to it lies the inside staircase. Climbing down a few steps one finds oneself in one of the four double rooms (all with en-suite bathrooms), which also has its own entrance so that it can function as a guesthouse. Going up, one comes to the second bedroom, a little further up the master bedroom with its own verandah and right above that the fourth bedroom, also with its own entrance.
Outside once again and descending the stairs from the verandah, the visitor reaches the second level of the villa where an outdoor, built-in dining-room is located with a superb view. Finally, going down to the third level, there is a private swimming pool with a large built-in sitting area and bar, all facing the deep blue of the Aegean Sea.
But what makes the Villa Anenoi truly unique is its remarkable decoration. Its owners’ love of superior aesthetics combined with the talent of the designer is expressed in every detail. The furnishings, the fabrics, the objects d’art, all by well-known designers were handpicked one by one. The daring combinations constitute a magical balance between tradition and avant-garde, between the classical and the modern, between the simplicity of the Aegean and the cosmopolitanism of Mykonos.
Villa Anemoi reflects the spirit of a cosmopolitan island offering seclusion and tranquility. Villa Anemoi is All Greek Villas suggestion for families or a group of friends wishing to surrender to the delights of the Mykonian summer.
